The IT Program is designed for the specific needs of young children. With a routined, but open schedule children engage in Teacher led activities (art/circle) but spend a large portion of their day engaged in free play, either indoor or outdoors.
Educators will introduce additional, informal play opportunities during the day, as needed. This include:, books, sensory activities and gross/fine motor activities, as determined by the needs of the group. Our schedules at KELC are sequential, as opposed to timed, to allow experiences to be limited or extended based on the group and individual needs of the day
